The JFMJ Academy is proud to announce its second year of awarding two $1,000.00 scholarships to graduating football players at West High School who will be attending college.

The Awards are given in honor of  Jeff Mack, Sr.,  A former Southside Raider Coach and Madison West JV and Varsity Coach who also was a wide receiver for the Wisconsin Badgers.

The 2025 scholarship winners are:

De'Jion Steele- De'Jion (who goes by DayDay) was the captain last season.  He was a 3 year varsity starter and one of the top players in the conference this year.  He earned recognition as the Big 8 Linebacker of the Year.  He is going to attend UW-Whitewater to study business and will be on the football team.  His coach stated, “We are extremely proud of the growth he's shown over the last few years in turning himself into a college ready student and one of the top football players in the area.”

Jaden Hicks- Jaden was a starter on the offensive line for West this past season.  His first time playing high school football was as a junior (he did play one year of youth football pre-pandemic).  He earned honorable mention all conference on the field this year. His coach stated “Jaden exemplifies what we want Regent football student athletes to be.  He is a good student, a great teammate and a hard worker.”  He will attend UW-Oshkosh to study nursing.
