Be the Change You Want to See
Be a Proud Member of the NAACP
Membership in the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is power and the lifeblood of the organization! I became a proud member of the NAACP in the mid-80s and a Fully Paid Life member in 2006. Today, I encourage you to become a member too! To ensure you are eligible for a leadership role, you must become a member by Sunday, May 1, 2022. Branch elections occur in November 2022. For more information, regarding membership, please go to https://naacp.org/ to submit your membership application and affiliate with the NAACP Dane County Branch #36AB. If you live outside Dane County, you should join the branch closest to you.
This year are mid-term elections for our Nation and state. 2022 is also an election year for the NAACP branches. Since 1909, the NAACP has been fighting to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination. With all the challenges and attacks on freedoms, voting rights and our democracy, the NAACP continues the fight to protect, and to defend of our democracy, more than ever! The NAACP needs your support, leadership, and expertise to ensure that we do our part to help protect and defend our democracy! Help the NAACP to be the best it can be! Be a leader! Join the NAACP Dane County Branch #36AB and help to make it the best in Region III!
