             Unemployment Insurance Administrative Law Judge (ALJ)
                                            Statewide Recruitment

The Unemployment Insurance Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) conducts
contested evidentiary hearings under Wisconsin’s Unemployment
Insurance Law, Wis. Stat. Chapter 108.  This position requires that the ALJ:
analyze cases; identify issues; conduct contested evidentiary hearings;
determine applicable law and apply unemployment insurance statutes,
rules and decisions to a hearing record; make findings of fact and
conclusions of law; and issue legal decisions.    

The employment register created from this recruitment will be used to fill
ALJ vacancies over the next six months or longer.  Positions will filled in
locations across the state, such as Madison, Milwaukee, Eau Claire,
Appleton, Wausau, Green Bay, LaCrosse and/or other locations.

By the date of their appointment candidates must possess a law degree
from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in
Wisconsin.  Starting salary: up to $84,451 per year depending on
qualifications and experience.  Excellent state benefits.
