When it's all said, it ain't done
As a 21st century, young, Black male emerging from the inner city of Milwaukee, WI from an impoverished single-mother family of six
children with ambition to live a life I am proud of, I am captivated by MY President Senator Barack Obama. Every since my best friend, and
dorm roommate at the time, David Wright put me up on Barack two years ago, I have invested great attention in his history, his character and
his plans for the communities I am a part of. Because of the authentic hope and deeply rooted, ethereal feeling of possibility Barack evokes
from my spirit, this is the most I have ever been involved with politics. I'd never raised money for a candidate, thanks to having a reason; I
have raised substantial amounts of bread (slang for money) for Barack,
I had never contributed to a campaign, thanks to having a reason, I ran my bank account in the negative to give - out of the kindness of
my heart - to Barack, I was not old enough to cast a ballot during the last presidential elections, I will cast my first ballot for a new world
leader who I have been believing would come and he has now arrived! I have witnessed Barack speak at the Kohl Center here at UW-Madison
and felt the transformational atmosphere wash over me. I have internalized his speeches on racism, fatherhood, religion, education,
economic crisis, and hope with chills running through my body.
As eccentric as some may interpret my feelings, I have released tears of joy listening to Barack give his nomination acceptance speech
because of what it meant to me and the countless other hopeless youth that come from where I'm from and places like it. We have a special
connection to Barack. Watching his triumphs and tribulations we identify with him, we aspire to be as great as and even greater than he is. He
is not God, we know this. But we feel this man. We dig Barack! The marathon is run and now we must cross the finish line strong. There is sure
to be great conspiracy within the next few days, weeks and months that will shape America's future. This is a pivotal point in history and I knew
it would come. I felt it years ago and it's here. Let's execute our plans strategically and extensively! Get up, get somebody else, get out and
let's be the change we crave and cannot live any longer without! I am praying for Barack's personal safety and composure, the prosperity of
his family and the strength and endurance of his will. I feel, in my spirit, that unprecedented ways to keep Senator Barack Obama from
fulfilling his obvious destiny to be President of the United States of America will manifest. My intention is not to speak this negative things into
existence, but to express my feelings. We have to keep Barack on our minds, on our hearts and in our prayers. Things are about to get a lot
worse before they get better, with this wisdom, let us act accordingly and fight through the storm of the Glades and reach the land of promise
because "De lake is comin'!"
Dreams Are Made To Be Achieved! And that's Like it t.i. IS!
