Pivotal Transitions’ Back 2 School
Kickback at Angels Joy
Getting Sharp for School
By Jonathan Gramling

While Pivotal Transition works with young children
throughout the year, their signature event is the Back 2
School Kickback, which was held August 27th at Angels Joy
Learning Center on the W. Beltline Hwy.

Several hundred students from across the city, but primarily
from the Allied Drive area, came out for haircuts, fingernail
styling, backpacks and school supplies. Second Peace led
a group of volunteers who served up some summertime
picnic fare to those who came.

People lined up early for the event for approximately 70
students on a first-served, shoe-fits basis received free
tennis shoes.

The children of Allied Drive and beyond were set to start the
2017-2018 school year out right. They were looking good and
set to hit the books. Much success in the 2017-2018 school
year!
