An ebullient Shiva Bidar-Sielaff celebrates with friends at Tex Tubb’s Taco
Palace on University Avenue April 7 after her decisive victory in the race for
Madison District 5 alderwoman. Bidar-Sielaff, director of community
partnerships at UW Hospital & Clinics, handily won the election with 60
percent of the vote and won four out of five wards. Bidar-Sielaff will be sworn
in on April 21 at noon in the Common Council chambers, Room 201 of the
City County Building, 210 Martin Luther king Jr. Blvd.
