On February 10, members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority -- be they undergraduate or alumni members -- gathered with their friends and supporters at the Overture Center for the Arts to celebrate Black History Month and Valentines Day with their 12th Annual Heart & Soul Scholarship Fundraiser. For Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, it isn't about old school or new school; it's about 'our School.' No matter what their age, a Delta is always a Delta.
The heart of this annual event is the college scholarship funds that are raised for graduating African American high school students. The soul is the commitment to academic achievement that the Deltas carry on, generation after generation. And do the Deltas know how to host a party with style and class. From the chocolate 'Kisses' left throughout the ballroom to the CDs of old school and new school music that were handed out to all who entered, the Deltas made sure that everyone felt a part of this celebration.
"Brothers" (and/or loved ones) of Deltans were there, too!
Everyone danced with a lightness in their feet, swept up with the gaiety in the air. The Deltas really do know how to spread a whole lot of love around for a worthy cause. And a whole love right back at you Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
