Never Stop Dreaming
By Bernita Smith

I dream that I was an eagle,
Flying around without even a care.
I left behind all of my problems,
As I soar straight up in the air.
I noticed the most beautiful sunrise
So I slowly just flew on by.
It felt so good to spread my wings,
While flying thru the deep blue sky.
And as I rose above the clouds,
The sun had begun to shine.
It was then that I realize,
I had left the storm behind.
And then out came a rainbow,
I had to watch it till it disappeared.
I got to see a colorful sight,
That rainbow really is.
And when night came rolling around,
I felt so close to the diamond-like stars,
I tried to solve that age-old question,
Of how far they really are.
And as I flew around the moon,
I was amazed by the powerful light.
How can something that is so big and round,
Stay lit all thru the night.
You know dreams sometimes can seem so silly,
Like the dream I am telling you.
But the dreams that you feel deep inside of your heart
Are the ones that meant to come true.
